Websites I Like, Websites I Don’t Like aka: Homework#5

I love Tiger Direct!
Tiger Direct is an online source for all your electronic needs. You can research everything from cameras, to top end gaming computers. When you need information on a product, you can get close up photos, generic specifications, or detailed specifications that most don’t understand. There are even customer reviews for those who have purchased this product and are willing to give a review. The site even asks for your input as to whether those reviews were helpful. There are several ways to access the information you are looking for; drop down boxes on the menu, sorters on the left-hand side that can narrow your search, and a nifty keyword search box if all else fails. The site itself is pleasant enough with thumbprint photos for product comparison. Shopping and check-out are as simple as any that I have seen. I am on their mailing list and get sales info in my email account. More often than not, I view the item they have placed in my mail for more detail. This occurs about once a week. I have done several transactions with Tiger Direct and am very happy with the service.

The “Arrive Alive Driving Academy” I don't hate them... I just wish they would leave!
This sight could entertain your kids for hours…. It’s better than television! The “Arrive Alive Driving Academy” website will either make you laugh or find the nearest porthole. It is a garish, crowded site that seems to be nothing more than a billboard for other driving-related services.
The user is in a virtual “Where’s Waldo” search for information. If you can find it, click on View the class schedule.
WARNING: if you are epileptic you may want to pass on viewing this site. They do have their phone number displayed prominently and I am assuming that most people would take that down and call rather than glean pertinent information from this eyesore. Needless to say, I would never do business with this company merely because the site is annoying. While I realize that advertising is a necessity for some sites to remain online, there are sites that accomplish this everyday…tastefully. In conclusion: if you “arrived alive” after viewing this site, it’s a miracle.

Here’s another terrible website that is rumored to be quite expensive!
